End of OLSB
Versailles, FRANCE, April 3rd, 2012 – One month before Microsoft’s Office Live Small Business (OLSB) doom’s day, ValorConseil announces availability of a FREE tool to help backup and migrate OLSB sites to Office 365.
While about one million Web sites worldwide have to migrate before April 30th (end of life date of Microsoft’s OLSB service), ValorConseil – Cloud specialists for SMB – launches a FREE tool for backup and migration to Microsoft’s Office 365 new Cloud service
Emmanuel Kerhoz, ValorConseil SAS CEO said “Microsoft Office Live Small Business service was dedicated to SMB. The end of that service is causing a problem to many users, but migration to Office 365 brings professional Cloud and mail services based on robust technology.
Migration is not seamless. It is a long, cumbersome and technical process, because everything has to be done manually: domain name migration, manual copy of all original site assets to the new environment, etc…
We developed a series of services specifically designed to help OLSB customers during their transition to Office 365. We created several internal tools for our own usage in order to simplify our operations and customer projects. We then thought we could package those tools into a single, free and widely distributed tool. This will allow us to help a much bigger number of customers.
Our business model is based on our Microsoft partnership, as we get some cents per customer from Microsoft, rather than selling value added services. Both models are not exclusive, as many customers prefer we take care of all or part of the migration process”

On April 30, Office Live Small Business will be discontinued
As Small Business Specialist and Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Partner, we’re here to help you move your Office Live Small Business Environment to Microsoft Office 365. The process can be painful, if considered lightly. Main steps to consider:
- Inventorying assets to get back.
- Opening and configuring new Office 365 subscription and account.
- Injecting gathered assets to new public facing site.
- Moving your pages from OLSB to new public web site.
- Updating DNS settings
There are a lot more if you plan to really exploit other Office 365 features, as the public web site is only a small portion of the solution.
