Requirements
- Validate Office 365 subscription by buying at least ONE real license of Office 365 plan P1
- Install (free) Office Pro Plus included in your promotional Office 365 account
- Install Office 365 desktop https://portal.microsoftonline.com/download/default.aspx
- Install Microsoft update http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate
- Check for updates and install them, including optional ones
- Try to set the “…officelive.com” domain as principal if the tool fails, then retry.
Note: Microsoft Outlook 2010, included in Office Pro Plus, is recommended to migrate your PIM datas (mails, contacts, calendars and tasks) to Office 365.
Caution regarding DNS operation
In any case, DO NOT transfer your domain name (DNS issue) before your site is reconstructed! This would prevent your site to work after April 30.
During DNS operation, you might temporarily corrupt your domain and prevent mail flow. This commonly happens when administrator starts transition with poor domain expertise. STARTING immediately, and until the end of your transition, ALWAYS copy one of your email address not involved with OLSB or Office 365 in all your mails.

Known issues
- This version does not yet transfer your custom.css.
- Pages have no “display in navigation” attribute. To rebuild site hierarchy, you need fix it first. Open pages and check their properties.
How can I get support for this utility?
You need to validate your Office 365 subscription by buying at least ONE seat in your subscription. Then you can send a support request to sr@valor.pro. We will ask you some required information to be able to help you.
Where can I find my OLSB site backup?
You will find a folder named with your domain name (site name) in your My Documents folder. In the Backup folder, you will see a Backup.cab file (or several files, if your site is huge, let say more than 128Mo).
What is the “Delegate to ValorConseil” offer at the end of the transfer process?
Delegation is a special right that you can grant to Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Partner. You can decide to grant us this delegation if you need our help to fix something for you in your Office 365 system.
What is a “Partner of Record” or PoR?
When you choose a Microsoft Cloud Partner, that company will get small fees from your subscription with absolutely NO impact on your cost. Because you get six month free with no engagement, you can open your Office 365 account and add us as PoR, EVEN IF you do not plan to use it after the trial.
Why is our UI so “strange”?
That is a very good question, which fired intense internal threads. Some person drafted a PowerPoint project, another one said, “let’s do that”. Few weeks later, we got that beast… Enjoy.
We originally designed this tool for internal use and did not consider mass usage. We use up-to-date systems and discovered recently that a large number of systems in the wild were unable to run our tool. D-day is approaching, so we have no time to investigate exactly what are the requirements.
Before running the application
If you have existing contents on your target site, matching elements will not be transferred. For example, if you have an existing page named welcome.aspx, not similar file will be copied. When you create a new Office 365 P1 public site, default pages are created. We suggest you delete them before you start the migration process.
Because the default page cannot be deleted, you will always have to rebuild manually your home page. At this point and before you use our tool, we suggest you set up your home page with the proper header, footer and so on. Color set will be transferred, so you can skip customizing it. If you customized your CSS style set, you will have to manually copy/paste the code from Office Live to Office 365 in the proper area.
Launch Internet Explorer 8 or newer, go to http://home.officelive.com, then sign in to your MS Office Live account using your OWNER account, not a regular administrator account.
Open a new Internet Explorer window and go to http://valor.pro, then sign in to your MS Office 365 account.
Check that your MS Office 365 account has a working default team site and a least one valid subscription (trial is valid) that has ValorConseil as partner/advisor, otherwise you will not be able to run our tool.
How to add ValorConseil as your Microsoft Partner/Advisor (PoR)
Go to your Office 365 portal (http://valor.pro , shortcut) and enter your credentials
• Click on the Admin Tab at the top.
• On the left column, click on Subscriptions/Manage
• Select the ‘’Office 365 trial (Plan 1)’’ subscription
• Next screen, on the right column, click Partner Information/add
• Then you can add our MS Partner ID : 903704
Launch the OLSB 730 utility
There is NO install process. Just unzip the files in a dedicated folder.
The tool will detect your domains for both Office Live and Office 365 accounts. If not, please check red colored step in the summary that appears on the right of the form when an error occur, then click the “retry” button to try and pass these requirements.
Your Office Live web site is downloaded in your personal “My Documents” folder, and the different assets are send to your Office 365 team site, including pages, images and documents. Existing email addresses are listed in a text file named “Log-OldListMail.txt” and uploaded with the documents on your Office 365 team site. PIM contents (mails, contacts, etc.) are NOT transferred and you will need to backup them separately.
After completion of your site inventory, please check that the discovered elements are matching the data you want to migrate to Office 365. If data are correct, click the appearing “GO” button to begin the migration.
After assets upload, you will be prompted whether you would like to delegate administration to ValorConseil. This step is optional but we strongly advise you to grant us administration if you have no other Accelerate partner/Advisor.
Note that you will have to redesign your site navigation, header and footer.
